2D or 3D?
Metrios is a 2D optical measuring machine.
Why 2D and not 3D?
Because most parts are easier and faster to measure in 2D without the complexity of a 3D CAD model to import.
Does this mean that Metrios can only measure in X and Y?
Not at all. With Metrios HD Cross you can measure also in Z with the advantage of using a 2D image, so seeing in the same way in which the camera sees.
