Hire a Real Estate Agency That Will Get You Twitter
It is almost as good as decided that Elon Musk will be the new owner of Twitter. After months of back-and-forths, Twitter finally accepted Musk’s offer to acquire the social media platform for $44 billion. But, what does this have to do with real estate investments?
At the very core, all investments are the same. Whether it is company acquisition or property acquisition, the investor has a goal to obtain an asset. What is a key necessary requirement to the success of such an acquisition is a facilitator of such a deal. As with a good real estate agency who will ensure their client will obtain their goal, Elon had such a facilitator in the form of the multinational financial advisors of Morgan Stanley.
Musk was offered to be on the board of directors after the initial disclosure that he had now obtained 9.2% of Twitter’s shares. This offer would, however, bar him from owning more than 14.9% of shares at any time in the future. He could have settled with such an offer, accepted that he cannot acquire Twitter and things would go on being as they are now. Similar to how many clients of subpar real estate agencies settle for a property that was not their first choice because their facilitator simply wanted to make the sale instead of achieving their client’s goal.
With an ‘eyes-on-the-prize’ approach, Morgan Stanley have advised Musk in ways that align with the billionaire’s end goal, leading to where we are now, which was the announcement that Twitter has accepted Elon Musk’s offer to buy the company.

Of course, as I have previously mentioned, many times over, the process of choosing an asset that will be profit-generating is a careful one. But, for the sake of this particular topic, we will trust that Elon has done his due diligence prior to hiring Morgan Stanley when he announced “Twitter has extraordinary potential. I will unlock it” in his letter to the Twitter board.
When choosing a real estate agency, as an investor, it is important to know what kind of agency you are hiring. It is no secret that the primary goal of many agencies is simply to turn a profit by convincing their clients that the assets they have for sale are the ones that the client is actually looking for. However, a truly distinguished agency is one that has their clients’ satisfaction as their first goal and generating profits as only secondary, ensuring that no stone is left unturned in the process of delivering the desired results to the investor.
