Historic interest rates of the past will give us a good indication of where they are going

USA - a reasonable average would be (we have been through the years like during the war and seem to be around 1945) 5-6%

UK - a 6% rate at least seems to be on the cards in the next year or so and seems to want to climb to 8-10%
