Holistic Curriculum Design

I wanted to say how much I totally LOVED what Priya Khanna, PhD shared with attendees at #HERDSA24. She also credited Daniella Castro de Jong.

It was a laugh a minute at time with cutting insights into higher Ed, but also incredibly thoughtful and broad and deep in its perspectives for positive transformation. My colleague Simone Daniells and I were trying to contain ourselves at various points, alternately with amusement and intense agreement.

There have been many great sessions here over the last few days with another to go, but I think for me this was the pick so far because of the issues we are grappling with. It is great to see intelligent and motivated people trying their best to advocate for fundamental and sustainable agile improvement, rather than just rigid tick box compliance stuff or the shiny bells and whistles approaches that vendors and others might advocate. This is taking us both down into the detail and up into the sky of thinking about purpose and joined up execution.

I thanked Priya at the end and someone else I don't even know did also (I had to rush off at that point.

Great work also to all the organisers volunteers and speakers including other colleagues from Flinders University like Prof Raj Shekhawat PFHEA GAICD TEDx Speaker Samantha Kontra Ali Enright Michelle Picard Romy Lawson Voula Gaganis and many others.

Special thanks to Michelle for supporting the attendance of myself, Simone and others from Flinders. This event has certainly given us lots of food for thought and new contacts from many places to work with and "innovate together" for the future. This is what gives us renewed inspiration for doing things better
