Honoring The Legacy of The Buffalo Soldiers

The legacy of the Buffalo Soldiers remains unknown to many people. However, thanks to tremendous efforts of the Buffalo Soldiers Organization, the research-based stories of these brave men is being shared as a part of increasing educational programs in various parts of the United States. This is especially true here in Southern California. Descendants of these soldiers are still alive and are passing along the stories to new generations. This year’s Villager Awards will honor them and the Buffalo Legacy with exhibits, members of the Buffalo Soldiers Organization, and opening with the ceremonial posting of the colors. These are the shoulders on which we all stand.
