Hope Partnership CEO, Rev. Mary Lee Downey, Appointed to Osceola County Affordable Housing Advisory Committee

Kissimmee, FL – October 22, 2024 – Hope Partnership is proud to announce that Rev. Mary Lee Downey, CEO of Hope Partnership, has been appointed to the Osceola County Government Affordable Housing Advisory Committee. This appointment reflects Rev. Downey's deep commitment to addressing the affordable housing crisis and advancing initiatives that foster strong, inclusive communities. Her three-year term on the committee will allow her to continue her dedication to supporting affordable housing initiatives in Osceola County.

Rev. Downey, a longtime advocate for equitable housing solutions, brings a wealth of experience and passion to the committee. Under her leadership, Hope Partnership has made significant strides in supporting individuals and families experiencing homelessness, housing insecurity, and other related challenges in Osceola County. Now, with her appointment, she will continue to be a strong voice for affordable housing solutions at a local policy level.

The Affordable Housing Advisory Committee plays a crucial role in reviewing and making recommendations on local policies, ordinances, and regulations that impact affordable housing. The committee’s primary goal is to identify and advocate for changes that encourage and facilitate the development of affordable housing while ensuring that property values are preserved and able to appreciate.

Rev. Downey’s leadership and passion for service will undoubtedly strengthen the committee’s efforts as they work towards creating long-term housing solutions for Osceola County residents.
