How to break through your visibility blockers
Up until quite recently I had a BIG visibility issue.
Before Covid I used to show up daily on livestreams, videos and posts to my community. But a load of life stuff happened after that and the blocks started to slide into place. This made me want to shrink back, be a faceless presence online, and do things more ‘quietly.’
But I knew that I couldn't carry on that way forever.
It wasn’t until I reassessed the situation, did some work to remove the blocks and reconnect with my WHY, that I was able to start showing up again, on video and in other ways, and now feel happy and confident to show up every day.
If you run a business or lead a team, showing up will be a thing for you. It might be online, it might be in the boardroom, but in my experience, it’s not always a breeze.
Whether it’s imposter syndrome, comparison, or the fear of what others might think, visibility blockers can feel overwhelming.
Not only that, they can be more than a block for your visibility, but also for your long term success.
Being visible isn’t just about being seen—it’s about showing up authentically, whether on social media, in leadership roles, or on stage.
In this week’s Words That Change Lives podcast, I unpack the most common visibility challenges, including:
Visibility is a muscle we strengthen with every act of courage. It may be managing energy during tough times or embracing vulnerability.
