How to build unlimited self confidence

How to build unlimited self confidence

At some stage we can all struggle with self doubt.

Am I enough?

Am I good enough?

Do I deserve this?

What will people think?

If you build on competence, and self confidence it minimises the impact of self doubt.

Remember:

You are not your thoughts

You weren't born doubting

You weren't born discouraged

You weren't born thinking negative things about yourself

These are beliefs given to you by an external source.

Believing that you're enough is what gives you the courage to be authentic. Brene Brown

A belief is something you continue to think.

If somebody told you, “you aren't x” and you accepted it, this becomes a belief.

It’s a belief given to you.

Then your mind proves your beliefs as true.

It finds an example in your life to match a belief, i.e. you weren't enough.

Then you become stuck in this belief.

That's why you have to guard your beliefs.

Our mind goes to work on finding truth in our beliefs.

Ways to build self confidence.

Step 1 – Build self trust

It’s building a reputation with yourself.

You keep your word you make to yourself.

If you say you’re going to do x, then you follow through with it.

The process of making a promise and not following through becomes a habit.

It also shows up in other areas of life.

Self confidence is an internal game.

You don’t need external accolades to build self confidence.

Keep the promises you make with yourself.

When you do, it gives yourself credit to create confidence.

Make things simple.

If you plan on going to the gym, lay your clothes out the night before.

If you want to start getting up an hour earlier, start by 15 minutes a day for two weeks.

Build momentum.

Keep the promise you make to yourself.

What’s one promise you can make to yourself now?

This is the process of building self confidence.

Step 2 - When thoughts arise

Question them.

Are they true?

If this thought or belief is not serving you, rub it out.

Keep doing this for any negative self talk or belief until it’s gone.

Self confidence doesn’t come from achieving or having more things.

You’re not your accomplishments.

You’re not your possessions.

You’re not what other people say about you, good or bad.

You’re more than that.

Self confidence is an internal game.

It’s based on keeping promises you make with yourself.

Rub out any doubts you may hold.

Give yourself credit for your good intentions.

Believe you deserve to win.
