How Celebrating EVERY Victory Can Help You & Your Business Achieve Greater Goals & Bigger Targets

"Celebrate Every Victory" - overlooking small victories or drawing more of your attention to bigger successes without feeling the need to celebrate what you've already accomplished is a mistake you never want to make.

This is a lesson I learned from one of my mentors back in the '90s, yet it's served many clients I coach and train to this very day - both in and out of their businesses.

Why is it important to celebrate even the seemingly small victories? Because little successes can have a positive impact on your overall performance as well as the power to make you believe in yourself when you have no one to cheer you on.

Unfortunately, a lot of people think that rejoicing over little successes is not as important as celebrating big wins. Small wins ought to be celebrated because they are the key to accomplishing greater things. Like levers, they enable you to do better and reach greater heights.

Celebrating small victories is a smart way of keeping yourself motivated and eager to do more. It assures you that you have what it takes to bring your vision to life and become everything you have ever wanted.

Top athletes know this. That is why they express joy over crossing the finishing line with every practice session. They don’t just celebrate beating the timer as well as crossing the finishing line when practicing with other players, but they also celebrate during individual sessions. This is because they know the huge impact that small victories have on overall performance.

In the same way, conscious leaders appreciate the ripple effects that little achievements have, not only in the growth of their business and in their team's performance, but also their ability to reach bigger targets.

Celebrating Every Victory Can Push You To Achieve More And Keep You Motivated.

As a recent business owner I'm coaching, who was facing near-burnout, often said: “I have worked on this for far too long so, what’s the use of relentlessly trying?”

Can you relate to that? You know what I'm talking about - those feelings of doubt often creep in on us unawares. You may spend your day feeling like you can conquer anything and even go to bed feeling like “I do have what it takes after all” only to wake up with feelings of inadequacy. This often happens when you repeatedly reflect on your failures or things that you still haven’t achieved.

Nonetheless, the main reason why those who refuse to let their emotions get the best of them continue working towards attaining their goals and those who give in to their emotions fail to keep on trying - is that the former have learned to recognize each victory in their lives. They've upgraded their EQ (their emotional intelligence). They know that every single triumph is important no matter how big or how small. They have understood that appreciating small wins is the key to attaining greater wins

The Benefits Of Celebrating Every Victory.

In addition to having a helpful effect on your (and your team's) total performance, the advantages of celebrating every victory - especially in these times where remote working pervades workplaces, include: building your confidence and improving the engagement, innovation and productivity levels of both yourself and your teams, while fueling grit and loyalty.

And let me tell you, from 25+ years' corporate experience - celebrating victories does not have to be extravagant. You can celebrate reaching your goals, acting on your ideas, signing a new deal, etc. by just taking the team (or family) our for dinner, booking a short break from work, etc.

In Conclusion.

One of the most important things to remember when rejoicing over your triumphs is the people who played a part in helping you reach your goals

Be grateful for the help you received along the way, the advice, as well as the support you got from well-meaning individuals. Reflect on the opportunities that were made available to you along the way and look for ways of creating opportunities for other people as well.

Doing good for someone deserving is an excellent way of giving back and showing how grateful we are for everything we've accomplished as well as what we are yet to accomplish.
