6. Ceramic fiber textile

Ceramic fiber textiles include fabrics, ropes, ribbons, yarns and other products. They are made of ceramic fiber bulk, alkali-free glass fiber filaments, and high temperature resistant stainless steel alloy wires through a special process. They have excellent high temperature strength, electrical insulation properties, and low heat conductivity thermal insulation performance and resistance to acid, oil, and water vapor corrosion. The following are the specific applications of ceramic fiber textiles.

Ceramic fiber cloth: heat insulation of high temperature channels, containers, heat radiation shielding, labor protection clothing, high temperature fire curtains, cable or fuel pipeline protection, high temperature resistant metal compensator refractory layer and other industrial heat insulation, heat preservation, fire resistance and protection.

Ceramic fiber rope: high temperature pipeline insulation and sealing, cable insulation coating, coke oven opening sealing, cracking furnace brick wall expansion joint, electric furnace and oven door sealing, boiler, high temperature gas seal sealing, flexible expansion joint connection.

Ceramic fiber tape: industrial heat insulation, pipe and cable heat insulation coating, exhaust pipe heat insulation coating, bolt flange connection, heat radiation shielding, high temperature furnace door curtain.

Ceramic fiber yarn: sewing fireproof cloth.

7. Ceramic fiber shapes

Ceramic fiber special-shaped parts are made of high-quality ceramic fiber bulk as raw materials and made by vacuum forming technology.

It can be made into special-shaped products with superior high temperature performance, rigidity and self-supporting strength. All special-shaped products have low shrinkage in their use temperature range, and maintain the characteristics of high heat insulation, light weight and impact resistance. Unburnt materials can easily be cut into mechanical processing. The product has good anti-wear and peeling properties during the use process and is not wetted by most molten metals.

Ceramic fiber special-shaped parts include tube, cone, dome and square box shapes. Most special-shaped products are produced according to customer requirements, such as casting caps and sleeves in the non-ferrous metal industry and vacuum forming peepholes in the petrochemical industry.

8. Ceramic fiber module

Ceramic fiber module is made by the corresponding ceramic fiber needle-punched blanket on a special machine according to the structure and size of the fiber component. During the processing, a certain proportion of compression is maintained to ensure that the ceramic fiber components expand in different directions after the ceramic fiber component wall lining is completed, so that the ceramic fiber components are squeezed into a seamless whole with each other. The ceramic fiber module is directly fixed on the steel plate of the industrial kiln through various types of anchors.

Ceramic fiber modules have excellent chemical stability and thermal stability, low thermal conductivity, and low thermal capacity. The various types of anchors on the back of the module make the installation of the module either in a military arrangement or in a parquet floor arrangement. The following are the application characteristics of various modules.

Folded blankets will squeeze each other in different directions after unbundling, without gaps; elastic fiber blankets can resist mechanical external forces; the elasticity of fiber blankets can compensate for the deformation of the furnace shell, so that no gaps are generated between the modules. Due to its light weight, there is little heat absorption when used as a heat insulation material, low thermal conductivity brings high energy-saving effects, and can resist any thermal shock. The lining does not need to be dried and cured, so it can be put into use immediately after installation. The anchoring system is far away from the hot surface of the module so that the metal anchor is at a relatively low temperature.

9. Ceramic fiber castable

Ceramic fiber castable is made of ceramic fiber bulk as aggregate, adding various fillers, binders, additives and other materials

Ceramic fiber castable has low thermal conductivity, low heat capacity, thermal shock resistance, pressure resistance and flexural resistance, so it has excellent wind erosion resistance, wear resistance, impact resistance and certain load-bearing capacity.

The biggest advantage of ceramic fiber castable is that it has good construction performance and mechanical properties. It is especially suitable for furnace walls with complex shapes. The construction is easy and the furnace wall is strong. The furnace wall can be demolded 4 to 8 hours after pouring and has a certain hardness.

The applications of ceramic fiber castable include industrial kiln wall lining or high-temperature industrial kiln backing insulation, integral pouring of ladle baking cover, high-temperature pipe wall lining, furnace door, fire hole, burner brick and other general and special shapes prefabricated parts and so on.

10. Bio Soluble ceramic fiber products

The main components of soluble ceramic fiber are SiO2, CaO, MgO, and the content of Al2O3 is less than 1%. Soluble fiber has sufficient solubility in human body fluids, and it is a new type of energy-saving material which is pollution-free, harmless, and environmentally friendly.

Soluble ceramic fiber products have the characteristics of low thermal conductivity, low heat loss, long spun fiber, good interweaving, excellent chemical stability, good sound absorption performance, and good degradability in human body fluids.

Soluble ceramic fiber products are used for fireproof and sound absorption in ship cabins, decks and flues; fireproof and sound absorption in fire doors and building partition walls; communication fireproof; heat insulation materials for power plants; insulation and sealing for auto parts, household appliances, kiln expansion joints, furnace door and roof; flat backing for full-fiber structure of high-temperature kiln lining, hot surface refractory, etc.

Conclusion

The excellent temperature resistance and thermal insulation of ceramic fiber products has brought a revolution in energy conservation for thermal insulation in the high-temperature industrial field. In the context of global energy prices rising and China’s upgrading of energy conservation and consumption reduction to a national strategy, the prospects for ceramic fiber products that can save energy by 10% to 30% compared to traditional refractory materials are very promising. However, ceramic fiber is inhalable and has certain harm to the environment and human body. Foreign companies have strengthened restrictions on the use of amorphous ceramic fiber.

Soluble ceramic fiber is a pollution-free and environmentally friendly material. The future production trend of ceramic fiber products is to develop in the direction of pollution-free, refined, and multifunctionality, especially the use of new technology and new raw materials to prepare high value-added, high-tech functional fine ceramic fibers, and its production probability will get bigger and bigger, which will have great significance for optimizing insulation refractories.
