How to Create an Impact in Your Business by Capitalizing on YOUR Best Strengths

How to Create an Impact in Your Business by Capitalizing on YOUR Best Strengths

It was late Saturday afternoon when it hit me that we were almost out of margarine (my husband refuses to eat butter) AND coffee creamer. GASP! If there's one thing I can't live without, it's coffee creamer! And I don't mean the flavored kind, I'm sweet enough. I need good old fashioned cream in my coffee.

It was snowing, it was cold, and I just wasn't feeling like getting my poop in a group to make a public appearance at the store so I decided to try this new "convenience" delivery service being offered in our area. I whipped out my phone and went on an ordering tangent that ended up including the margarine, the cream, a loaf of rye bread from a popular Italian bakery, a couple of chocolate bars (can you tell I was hungry?) and I threw in a bag of treats for the dog. There may also have been a coconut cream pie involved.

Within an hour, a nicely packed box was delivered to my front door step, and when I brought it in, it brought a smile to my face because someone had drawn a cute little smiley face on the box. It's the little things in life that thrill me.

But the best part about the whole delivery was inside!

The dog treats had been placed inside a paper bag, stapled up, and the amazing human who packed up the box had written "Hello Dog!!" and drew another little smiley face on the bag.

It may not have been much, but I thought it was such a sweet gesture for someone to take the time to write a note on that bag!

It caught my attention. It stood out from the rest of the items in the box. It made me feel that someone really cared about my order. It was above and beyond.

And this little paper bag with this kind note reminded me how a little extra effort can make such a huge impact in your business.
