How do you feel after an international flight?

Do you travel on long flights? How do you feel after your trip? Tired, jet lagged, irritable, bloated, feel like you caught a cold? Did you go into your big presentation with your customer, only to be dreaming of your bed back at the hotel? How would it change the quality of your trip to arrive well rested and ready to go?

I have so many products that are amazing when travelling, especially when travelling internationally. My husband and I flew to Paris for a week right after Christmas and through the New Year holiday. I was so sick and couldn’t bear to get on the flight, but I prepped well and when we arrived in Paris, I felt great and we hit the ground running. We got to the hotel and then immediately headed out to the Roue de Paris! It was a fantastic day!

Here is a quick guide of how I use my products to have the best flight and AFTER flight experience! If you are interested in putting together a Travel Package, reach out and let’s chat!

Note: We had an evening flight leaving Atlanta around 8pm and arriving in Paris around 10:30 am local time. So about 8.5 hours in the air. That’s what I will describe below.

Pre-Flight:

·        Drink WATER – Drink plenty of water in the 2 days before you fly and during the flight while you are away. ½ your body weight in ounces of water is a great guideline. (This should be your normal daily consumption rate…more if you are exercising!)

·        Pack everything you are going to be consuming in easy to find ziploc bags in your carryon.

·        Drink Meal Replacement Shake with a scoop of “Immune” shake booster – I did this right before I got on the plane, so close to my normal meal time. It’s light, filling, easily digestible, gluten/soy free, and perfectly macro balanced for a complete meal. “Immune” is made from a combination of Wellmune® beta-glucan, reishi, poria, and maitake mushrooms. Immune Shake Booster uses scientifically backed immune-health-supporting compounds to help prime, strengthen, and balance the immune system for better overall health.

·        Take PM package of Complete Essentials with IsaGenesis. This daily pack gives you a convenient way to achieve optimal intakes of vitamins, minerals, omega-3s and antioxidants, as well as special age-defying nutrients in easy-to-use packets to meet your nutritional needs. It addresses root causes of aging, supports healthy aging at the cellular level, and provides nutritional support for total-body health.

During Flight:

·        Change your watch time – If you wear a watch, change it immediately to local time so you feel like it’s much later at night.

·        Get comfortable, but I don’t mean PJ’s! – I’m old school, I like to look nice when I travel. And there are plenty of great options out there for non-wrinkle clothes. Don’t wear sweats or your PJ bottoms please! And recognize if you have smelly feet…don’t make your fellow passengers put up with this! Wear clean slipper socks. You may or may not get them depending on your seat class.

·        Fill out any customs form early so you aren’t having to do it when you get off the plane.

·        Avoid Alcohol or any of the airline food – Alcohol actually can prevent you from getting a deep sleep or cause you to wake up. Airline food is very salty and can make you feel full and bloated…not the best for quality rest.

·        Drink your Ionix Supreme as a warm tea or in your water bottle and take your Sleep Spray and Renewal. I love it as a warm tea! Ionix Supreme combines Adaptogens, antioxidants, and nutrients to balance your body’s systems and strengthen its abilities to fight and resist the effects of stress. Lower levels of stress help you recover faster, increase focus, and support overall energy. It’s very soothing to take before you sleep. Sleep Spray & Renewal contains fast-absorbed, sustained-release melatonin combined with a proprietary nutrient complex to promote a sound, more beneficial night’s rest, which in turn can aid memory, mental clarity, cognitive function, and overall brain health.

·        Don’t start working! If there is too much activity going on, read or put on a movie. Use noise cancelling headphones if at all possible. I have Boise Earbuds that are fantastic because I hate over ear models. Now try your best to sleep!

·        When you wake up – Drink a full bottle of water and have an IsaLean Meal replacement bar.  Tastes great, filling, perfectly balance macro meal, and good for you.

·        Have an e+ and an Amped Nox. These will make all the difference! I truly felt awake and energized!  E+ is not your average gas station energy shot. In fact it’s the complete opposite! It’s a long lasting, flavorful energy shot that combines a scientifically supported blend of botanicals and plant-based caffeine from green tea and yerba mate to help you feel energized and mentally alert. Amped Nox contains a special blend of fruit and vegetable extracts, including c, celery, and red spinach to support nitric oxide production. This performance booster helps increase power output, energize muscles for greater intensity and stamina, and reduce fatigue.

·        Take AM package of Complete Essentials with IsaGenesis.

Post-Flight:

·        Stay on local time - As you go through your day, you want to stay up and be on the local time schedule. So keep another e+ handy in your bag to avoid crashing into a wall.

·        Keep drinking plenty of water and avoid alcohol and heavy foods. I like to have small snacks with me like a Slim Cake. It’s only 100 calories and has 5 grams of filling fiber from whole oats, inulin, and flaxseed, and a delicious blend of berries, Slim Cakes are a healthy and delicious snack. Or another great choice is an IsaLean meal replacement bar, or some Whey Thins. Whey Thins are savory and delicious protein-packed snacks in convenient, 100-calorie individual packs satisfy cravings without loading the calories. They have 10 grams of high-quality protein and 100 calories per serving, are Gluten-free, and are Individually packaged so perfect for on the go

·        If you are in a country where the food doesn’t agree with you, or you want to make sure and have a healthy, quick breakfast, I recommend bringing additional IsaLean Shakes and Bars. For the shakes you only need to add water and/or ice so it’s very easy. And it certainly cuts down on calories, so you aren’t struggling as much with unwanted weight gain.

I have used these products for so many trips and I was so grateful to have them. I struggled for years when travelling for GE to not feel terrible and exhausted when getting off a flight. And nothing is worse then being sick. Tracking down NyQuil in Japan 15 years ago was not an easy task! So, reach out to me and let’s chat. I can set you up for success, so YOU can focus on closing your deal, making your customers happy, and keeping your teams motivated.

You must be at your PEAK health wise to be at your PEAK performance wise!

I usually eat the entire airline meal, and I am talking about coach class on a US carrier. It's better than some MRE's that I've eaten, maybe. If you had to recommend only one thing out of those that you listed to eat, take, drink, whatever, what would it be?
