How To Easily Get 5-Star Reviews & Great Case Studies For Your Book, Brand, or Business
Did you know? If you want MORE leads, clients, speaking, interviews, and/or high-paid consulting... then you MUST have stellar testimonials and reviews for your book, brand, or business! (LinkedIn too.)
I'm living proof of this with 59 LinkedIn recommendations as of this writing. So let me tell you how this all works.
Testimonials and reviews are key because social proof is critical to your business. (That's why YELP is so popular.) Because the psychological factors of influence (knowing, liking, trust, authority) are embedded in social proof.
If you tell me that "this restaurant" rocks, then I'm already predisposed to saying yes.
Testimonials and great book reviews can translate into more business, impact, influence AND income! In fact, great testimonials and reviews (and case studies) are the lifeblood for any business.
So yes, get lots!. And make it as easy as possible on yourself.
There are two(2) ways to get reviews and testimonials as you’re about to discover. And the first method is great for case studies as well!
First, the longer way (which is great for deeper dive testimonials and case studies)...
Interview The Right People (& Who See You Best)
1. Pick your 7-10 best / favorite / ideal clients and set up 20 min video call, in person / lunch meeting / or (if no other option) phone call.
2. Ask:
• 1. about their situation before you
• 2. why did they / would they choose you?
• 3. the immediate outcome you helped them achieve
• 4. how their behavior and/or life has changed to this day because of you
--------As you're asking, dig deeper and get to the root by using these phrases:
• “tell me more” “what else?” ”tell me in your own words" "how did/does that make you feel?”

Second, the shorter way (as long as you avoid the PROBLEMS)...
Ask people for testimonials.
[BUT, PROBLEM #1] Have you ever asked someone for a review or testimonial, only to be a bit disappointed by what they gave you?
[OR, PROBLEM #2] They say yes, but never actually get around to doing it?
The easiest and best way to get amazing reviews and testimonials is to give them ideas on what to say. Now, you aren't telling them what to say - you are offering a format and suggested language that will help them craft their truthful, STELLAR testimonial.
So you can use these plug-and-play templates to easily write a stellar review (or testimonial) about you/your book ON BEHALF OF THAT PERSON.
Then make your request like this: "I'd love a testimonial/review. And I know you're super busy. So I wrote this on your behalf. Will you please edit it, approve it, or write your own? Thank you!"
90% of the time, they will approve it.
And even if they need to edit or rewrite, you are helping them help you... and they are grateful because you made it easy.
