How to get more referrals in 2022?

We all appreciate referrals, what can we do each day to insure that we get more referrals to grow our business to a greater success?

We need to master the 3 A’s – Available, Amiable and Able.

· Available – when a referral comes in we need to be available to answer their phone call, email, text, Facebook message, etc. I am amazed by how many individuals do not answer their phones, and email, etc. when business is “knocking” on their door. If we do not make ourselves available and, if you are like me you will keep moving down your list and give the referral to someone else whether it is realtor, lender, inspection company, etc.

·  Amiable – in order to get a referral, we have to do everything that we can to be pleasant. We should remain humble, and appreciate that someone trusts us enough to refer us to someone else. It is unbelievable how many individuals out there have a terrible “bedside manner” and are arrogant, rude, etc. If we are not pleasant, or friendly this may be the last referral that you get from this source. So be nice!

·  Able – the last [A] may seem obvious but in order to keep getting referrals we have to be able to complete the task at hand.  It is important to know your strengths, and your weaknesses – if you cannot complete the task you should let your referral partner know right away (Don’t fake it). There is nothing worse than giving a referral to someone who says that they “can do it” only to find out that they can’t. In the end of this situation the person giving the referral and the person referred will both be upset.

Following these 3 simple [A’s] will give you a rewarding career filled with happy customers and referral partners alike.
