How to have a healthy heart

How to have a healthy heart

Today we are going to evaluate the contribution of emotional health, positive mental attitude and right stress management techniques towards heart health.

I call it 4 H formula. You might wonder what is this 4 H. I have only one heart so Kruti cut the fluff and come to the point.

Well, have patience, my friend. Let me elaborate. To have Healthy Heart, you need to have Happy Heart, Happening Heart, and Humble Heart.

Here are a few tips on how to achieve 4 H’s.

Happy Heart: My mentor always says that happiness is in the process of accomplishing a worthwhile goal. Happiness is a journey to a worthwhile destination. Dare to dream big. Set worthwhile goals and then plan your work to achieve those goals. Celebrate your every accomplishment, even the smallest ones. Count your blessings and be grateful for your blessings. Learn to smile often. Laugh at your mistakes. Mistakes are stepping stones towards great accomplishments as long as you learn from them. If any situation puts you into sad gloomy mood. Catch your thoughts because your thoughts drive your mood. And switch them immediately. Focusing on your blessings will immediately change your mood. Most people have 7 things going in their favor out of 10 but they keep focusing on the 3 things which are not going well instead of focusing on 7 things which are going great. Whatever you focus on, grows. Be gentle on yourself. Don’t expect perfection from yourself. Just work on getting better at every step of life. To have Happy Heart do negativity DeTox. Say no to gossips, criticism, complaining, condemnation. Disassociate from people or news or anything which puts you down. Surround yourself with your support team which always uplifts you. Be uplifter of people. When you are sad, spend time in nature or listen to gentle soothing music or do someone a favor and see their face lit up with happiness. Their smile and happiness will brush up on you. My favorite thing is to read jokes or watch Tom and Jerry or see some videos of cute children or pets on youtube. It immediately uplifts my mood. In short, do something which will make you happy but it should not be at the cost of someone else.

Happening Heart: Age is just a number, my friend. As long as you have dreams to achieve, you have something to look forward to you will have zest in your life. Keep dreaming, keep moving forward towards your dreams. Prepare your bucket list. Put pictures of your dreams on your dream board. Strive to achieve everything on the list. You are unique and have unique capabilities to offer to the world. Don’t let the fear of unknown or failure stop you from dreaming. I had read somewhere that people die in their 20s but are buried in the 80s. This is because they stop dreaming. A lot of people regret in old age that they didn’t dream big. Don’t be one of them. It doesn’t cost anything to dream. If you make mistakes, laugh at those mistakes. Mistakes made me wiser because I learned from those mistakes and grew. Just dare to dream big.

Humble Heart: As my mentors says “ Have a big heart, not a big head.” No matter how much success you achieve have firm feet on the ground and hold your head high with confidence. I always tell myself when things are going well “ This Shall Pass” it keeps me humble. When things are not going well, I say “ This shall Pass”. It keeps me hopeful. Develop an attitude of gratitude and be grateful for everything you have. It will keep you humble.

Thus when you have Happy Heart, Happening Heart, Humble Heart you have stress free life. You will sleep like a baby. With the right food habits and exercise, these 3Hs will help you achieve the 4th H which is Healthy Heart.
