How High Performers Manage High Level of Stress?

How High Performers Manage High Level of Stress?

How high performers optimize stress management?

The reality is that we all experience stress! It is a natural part of life.

But what really set apart high performer apart from the rest? It is their ability to not only identify stress but also to transform it into something positively motivating. And that's what we're going to discuss today.

So, I'm going to share with you clues on how high performers transmute stress because high performers are acutely aware of how stress can influence their performance both positively and negatively.

So, as such, they use the understanding of stress to their advantage, understanding what type of stress works! To their benefit and what type of stress doesn't! Because this is what's happening at times, high performers may feel overwhelmed, or struggle to stay motivated in these cases what happened?

They realize that it's necessary to break down the task at hand in order to be successful, because they understand that the key is to stay focused and maintain your level of motivation.

Being Overwhelmed means what?

It's basically a signal, that you have a perception that you have a lot to manage!

What that means?

You got to chunk down events and goals, so that's the way you must chunk down. And so that's going to take all that is overwhelming and basically figure out what matters the most! So, it's managing that.

Second, to help manage stress, it's important to take the physical aspect.

This might seem obvious, but it's not common practice- take breaks, breathe deeply, and focus on your breathing, take a few moments of solitude and reflections. Because high performers understand that these techniques are essential in figuring out how to break down and conquer your, basically your goals and your task.

And here is the most important skill that really overlooked and I'm going to share in a moment.

It's a nuance, very important, the focus and finding and cultivating what I'm calling a "utilitarian mindset" again, a "utilitarian mindset”. " What is it? What do I mean by that?

Right now, I'm in nature standing.

There is no waste in nature. Everything is being used, correct?

The rain, you look at basically the bacteria and there is basically an order.

So that's the basis of what the utilitarian mindset is and leverage. It's basically being able to use everything that comes to you, but for the benefit of prosperity, so that utilitarian mindset helps high performers deal with a stressful element in their lives that cannot be avoided.

Basically, you must turn this kind of stress into something useful. So, they use that as a catalyst for pushing themselves to complete the tasks, so the utilitarian mindset is a powerful one and I want to make sure that you understand, it's not a positive mindset, it's a utilitarian mindset, basically how do you utilize and how do you optimize what you cannot avoid?

That mindset is very important.

And lastly something about gratitude that research have demonstrated benefits of.

Research has shown that gratitude by taking the time to recognize what you have accomplished! No matter how small it is, can start to bring perspective and balance; probably negative feelings you have, so high performers, understand that, if you're healthy, are you appreciating that?

With even that, just be grateful for that! That brings you back to that reset! During high pressure moments recognizing what do I have?  What can I be grateful for?

With those three strategies, high performers are able to transform negative stress into positive stress in order to succeed.

They understand that managing stress is an important part of achieving success and use those simple strategies. I just share, such as breaking down the goals, deep breathing, being thankful, and cultivating a utilitarian mindset that's important, that utilitarian mindset is being able to utilize what you cannot avoid.

Now back to you. How can you use one those strategies to transform your level of stress?
