How I got the crowd “all revved up“ for my debut webinar with ADDA (The Attention Deficit Disorder Association)
I have proof that dreams really do come true…
Back in 2018, I attended the international ADHD conference, and it changed the direction of my life. The first time that I could ever remember, I was in a place where I was 100% accepted for who I am, flaws and all. it was also where I first learned that ADHD Coaching was actually a thing thanks to one of the most impactful conversations of my entire life with the one and only David Giwerc .
One of the organizations that put on this event is the Attention Deficit Disorder Association.
So when they asked me to be a featured presenter for their webinar series, I jumped at the opportunity. (A big thanks to Janine Futch , Nikki Kinzer, PCC , and Duane Gordon for having me!)
We talked about struggles that show up for almost every person with ADHD and can be particularly troublesome in the workplace.
Then I shared with them the five shifts for conquering your ADHD. As I said to them towards the beginning of the presentation, one of the most encouraging parts of my message is that we already have everything inside of us we need to overcome our challenges (even if we don’t realize it yet!)
We covered everything from 💩, high school geometry lessons, and comeback stories. These topics helped answer what I call “the big question“: “How long can you keep living like this?!”

With over 400 people registered for the event, and thousands of more that will watch it in the future, it was powerful! I’ve had several people reach out to me afterward to say how relatable my presentation was because the client stories that I shared reminded them of themselves or their loved ones. With a primary love language of “words of affirmation“ from Dr. Gary Chapman‘s five love languages, hearing that my content had such a profound effect on so many meant the world to me, especially knowing that this was the organization that sponsored the event that sparked my comeback story!
If you did not have a chance to attend it, here is the link to the entire “vault” of archived webinars that ADDA has put on:
By the way, if you have attention deficit hyperactivity disorder #ADHD, and you are not a member of the Attention Deficit Disorder Association, there is literally nothing that I can recommend more strongly for you than this incredible organization - The largest in the world serving those of us with neurodivergent brains!
I will be sure to let you know the next time I speak because I hope you can get similar inspiration to know that you are not alone in this journey!
As my friend Bruno Mars would say: “You are amazing, just the way you are!“
