We are shifting gears and now offer the latest Fiber Network Channel monitor. It monitors 8 channels of live traffic fiber links detecting faults to a distance of 100K!. This unit has a resolution of 1Meter and is unlike a OTDR respect to the distance it can monitor and the way it monitors. It monitors can monitor both live and dark channels moving data to a redundant channel in an outage caused by a fiber break or similar problem. A dispatch notice is send via smart phone to the technician showing where the fiber break or discrepancy is (using google maps).  Many networks already employ similar gear but this unit is different with capability beyond 30K and resolution to one meter, it does not use the old style OTDR method.
