How LCCI Member UPS Supports Businesses
With just one week to go until International #TradeWeek, we spoke to LCCI Programme Partner UPS , the global transportation and logistics leader, to learn more about their role in international trade and how they help British businesses to navigate its complexities and successfully export their goods around the world.
With operations in more than 220 countries and territories, UPS are acutely aware that being a shipping provider alone does not suffice. Businesses need a shipping partner, who will offer information and support throughout the process, so that they feel empowered to expand into overseas markets and overcome seemingly complex international regulations. Businesses rely on UPS to help them untangle unfamiliar terminology and avoid any potential pitfalls, which is often pivotal in developing the confidence needed to trade overseas for the first time.
To encourage more businesses to export their goods, earlier this year UPS launched an “Exporting Made Easy” campaign, a series of accessible videos that advise UK businesses on the fundamentals of shipping internationally to help them enjoy a cost-efficient, hassle-free shipping experience from start to finish. UPS is also dedicated to supporting women-owned businesses to go global through its Women Exporters Programme, a collaborative approach aimed at supporting their expansion into new overseas markets from the UK. The programme provides women-owned businesses with access to online tools and acts as a knowledge sharing platform so that business founders who are successfully trading internationally can share their experiences and best practice.
