How to Make 2023 Your Best Year Yet

Now, remember from my last newsletter, we’re going to play a little game. I will not tell you how to make 2023 your best year yet until the end of the newsletter. I’ll mention it in the newsletter, but when I do, I’ll just do this _____.

Do you have some New Year’s resolutions in mind? Most people do. Losing weight, getting a new job, starting a new relationship. However, how many of those resolutions fall by the wayside by late January or early February?

Maybe the problem for people is that they are looking for the end results without realizing the small steps they have to take to get the desired result. 

Maybe they need to develop good  _______.

For instance, let’s say you want to exercise regularly. Well, if so, get in the _____ of laying out your workout clothes when you go to bed. That way, it can remind you of your resolution every morning when you wake up. You won’t have to rummage through drawers and closets for your workout clothes–they’re right in front of you. If you get in the ____ of doing that every night, you’ll get in the _____ of working out regularly. 

Likewise, you’re probably resolving to make more money in 2023, right? If you’re in sales, you make more money by getting more customers, right? Or getting more business and referrals from existing customers, correct?

How about every Monday morning, after you get a cup of coffee and get settled in your office, you make a list of five prospects you’re going to call that week? And you call one every morning before the rest of your day starts. 

In a few weeks, make that list eight or ten prospects long. Then make two prospecting calls before you start the rest of your day. 

Get in the _____ of making the prospecting calls first. Then you’ll have the rest of the day to work. 

Hopefully, that will involve filling orders from new customers you successfully prospected.
