So today I thought I'd help YOU, help THEM by sharing a quick, 60-second video.

4 Types of Closing Costs to Prepare for & How to Save the Most Money on Fees.

  1. Title fees - These are regulated fees that cover legal documents, notaries, title insurance, and other services needed in the process. These fees will be the same regardless of lender. 
  2. Third-party fees - These include charges for the appraisal, credit report, flood certificate, or more. These fees will also be similar regardless of lender. 
  3. Escrow cost - this is an account you need to fund for your homeowner’s insurance and taxes. Now this is not really a fee but a prepaid item and would be exactly the same with any lender you choose to work with. 
  4. Lender fees. THIS is where you can save the most money. Lender fees consist of processing, underwriting, and document preparation. 

Now, word to the wise, if a lender ever tells you they have zero closing costs, consider that a giant red flag and do one of two things - run away FAST or dig deep into facts, and client reviews, and ask lots of questions.
