How To Stay Healthy (Even When You Have No Time)

How To Stay Healthy (Even When You Have No Time)

Let’s start with a saying- “The most important things in the life aren’t ‘things’.” And, if they are not ‘things’, then what they really are? Well, there are many, however, for the instance, let’s pull all our attention to an important one - Health. A lot many of people usually take their health for granted until they find themselves surrounded with unavoidable adverse health conditions.

One thing is for certain that complaining over the daily life’s time-consuming self-made priorities as an excuse of scarcely getting any free time to take health initiatives is not going to take us anywhere at all. However, standing at someone’s funeral who have died of an illness or visiting a convalescent friend at a hospital makes us short-term health-conscious individuals. Then, we start to pull ourselves together, plan a workout schedule, determine to cut on eat outs, and search the yellow pages to join that famous gym. After following this new regime for some time, we soon get tired, bored, or exhausted sticking ourselves with the old anti-health habits.

So, the prominent question arises - ‘what are the ways to maintain a long-term healthy routine’? First thing first, one shouldn’t take ‘assimilating healthy habits’ as encountering and sticking with a troublesome devious fellow who is going to knock one down in the long run. That generally happens when we set the long-term goals out of initial excitement that are too big to accomplish. On the other hand, there are ways to stay healthy with little efforts and turning that devious fellow to a benevolent and encouraging companion that brightens up your mood every single day. Let’s have look on the major hacks for living a healthy lifestyle:

1. Fitness

Aiming for a fit body is one of the harbinger ways of good health and overall well-being. Images of celebrity bodybuilders and YouTube fitness enthusiasts often occupies our brains when we think about getting in shape. To be fit, you don’t need a body kind to outrun other participants in Arnold Bodybuilding championship. All you need is an energized body achieved through keeping beginner-level good health habits. Yes, one doesn’t need to do feel the chill wind by going through highly intense workouts, cardio, or run a marathon to achieve fitness. So what are the simple ways to stay fit without the gym? Let’s see:

  • Set Goals That You Can Easily Accomplish: In order to achieve fitness, you need to get rid of all-or-nothing mentality and need to start with a goal that seems easily achievable such as 15 minutes morning and evening walks. 15 minutes is not a big amount of time. Still, it will set you on a stupendous path of well-being. Follow it for a week or two, then move to the next level. The sensation of success in small goals will keep you motivated to achieve the bigger ones and, will make it harder for you to give up early.
  • Start with Something You Love to Do: If the guy next door does cardio to keep healthy doesn’t mean you should do the same. Sticking with something you don’t like is the inauguration of the give-up-early path and that’s not something you actually want to head towards. To achieve your fitness goal, always choose an activity that you are interested in. And, trust me, it’s going to be proven as a great way to keep the boredom at bay.

2. Pay Attention to What You Eat:

No doubt, dieting is a proven weight-reducing technique if followed in a proper manner. However, when it comes to the crash-dieting or skipping meals for losing the calories faster, it not only deprives your body of necessary nutrients but also increases the risk of binge eating. The mentality of compensating the binge by skipping next meal is strongly discouraged by the leading nutrition experts. Possessed foods like burgers, french fries, soft drinks, and potato chips contain harmful trans fats as well as added sugar that lends a detrimental effect on your body. On the other hand, you can still shed extra pounds and stay healthy without keeping yourself hungry:

  • Plan a Healthy Diet: People often think that adopting new healthy eating habits will keep their taste buds unsatisfied and images of horrible broccoli-eating-creatures emerge in their minds. Don’t worry, it is actually possible to eat tasty food and feel euphoria with a healthy diet. Just by replacing fat-containing food with superfoods such as eggs, tomatoes, brussels sprouts, and apples and trying some of the freely available online recipes, you can bring in a party in your mouth.

3. Devote Sometime to Personal Care

A bright, luscious, and flawless skin speaks for a healthy person. Blemished skin, dark circles around the eyes, and dry skin not only make you look dull but also adds unattractiveness to your appearance. Taking care of your personal self is as important as losing weight to stay fit and healthy. However, looks are not all that matter but a fresh look is proven to contribute by high leaps in increasing one’s confidence at times. Same as women, it is equally important for men. So, how to get a beautiful skin naturally along with a healthy body? Here are some simple tricks to keep the oily, dry, and blemished skin at bay:

  • Get a Good Night’s Sleep: As the famous Irish proverb “A good laugh and a long sleep are the two best cure for anything” says, a good night’s sleep is as important for your skin as it is for you. However, several researches conducted over the years suggest that - ‘the quality of the sleep is even more important than the quantity of sleep’. According to the experts, one should try to sleep at least 8 hours every night and should have a good face wash to remove the makeup. It soothes, heals, and freshens up the skin. To increase the quality of sleep do stretching and meditation 15 minutes before going to the bed.
  • Eat What is Good for Your Skin: Pay a keen attention to what you are eating. Foods rich in protein and vitamin A, C, and E are good for skin and on the other hand, non-organic, processed, added sugar, highly caffeinated food products can affect the insulin activity and increase oil production in the body resulting ache or another skin disease. Olive oil, tomatoes, oatmeals, and dark chocolate has beneficial effects on the skin.
  • Stay Hydrated: Drinking an adequate amount of water not only keeps your skin healthy but also reduces premature aging. According to the leading health authorities, an adult should consume at least two to three liters of water every day. Drinking enough water keeps your skin moisturized throughout the day and reduces the risk of dry and patchy skin.
  • Always Use the Right Products: Do your research in choosing the right personal care products for your skin. A great many numbers of skin-care products contain chemicals harmful for your skin. Going for herbal personal care is always a good idea.
