How Tech Startups can use LinkedIn Events to Scale
Working with Tech Startups for over 10 years has given me an incredible insight in to recent trends and fashions.
I have worked with Mar-tech, Fin-tech, Sex-tech, Death-tech, Travel-tech and about every other (insert industry)-tech you can think of.
As the world changes and the need for new innovation and disruptive startups change, my approach has had to adapt also.
The key shift I have made is that my training for helping startups to scale, particularly the top of the funnel lead generation approaches, have been more emphasis on education than cold activity.
Covid exacerbated this with the transition of everyone going from some remote calls and webinars to becoming a key part of their working week and having to explain remotely which previously would have been in the office face to face.
The ability to educate a potential customer has always been a difficult approach for Startups to get right, mainly because they often don't fully know who their target audience is or how to succinctly explain what they actually do.
Due to this, last year I started testing LinkedIn events. I have been used to doing lots of 1:1 remote calls and so I thought there must be a more scalable way to do to educate without more work.
1 year later and over 7000 people registered for our events we have now really perfected our formula of how to create an event that can educate your audience and have a huge impact on sales.
If you look at our growth as a Startup you will see a spike in revenue after every event, it really works!
A lot of people may think that it works for us but does it actually work for other startups that we manage events for?
