How Technology is Influencing the Future of Healthcare Buildings

Much has been written about how technology is helping to enhance the patient experience. From the growth of urgent care facilities, which allows patients to book appointments online, to remote patient communications, such as telehealth, the use of technology is growing rapidly. But while technology is disrupting how healthcare is delivered to patients, it is also influencing how today’s healthcare facilities are being built.

I was recently featured in a report by Transwestern titled, “The Future of Healthcare Buildings,” where I shared some thoughts on how technology is impacting the design and construction of healthcare facilities of the future. I elaborate on my thoughts in the video below.

Very well said, Andrew. The built/ controlled environment as an active participant in the efficient environment of care is something Siemens has invested much resources in.. looking forward to continued collaboration in this area.
