Design Thinking is based on two key aspects: the user and the problems that may arise in different situations, and the #empathy to understand them. The objective of this process is to understand the need in-depth, identify the problem, and raise parallel edges that may arise as a result to find the solution or solutions that are useful, feasible, and applicable beyond the individual.

Following the design thinking methodology, which uses tools related to design and creativity to find solutions to real user problems, anyone can innovate, but disruption requires a point of rebellion, nonconformity and daring. Jobs himself had all of these qualities.

A Cycle of Design Thinking ...

  • The search for person-centered innovation.
  • The need for observation to discover unmet needs within a context and the constraints of a particular situation.
  • The iteration of solutions is completed with new ideas, testing, and adjusting.
  • The involvement of customers or end users minimizes the uncertainty and risk of innovation.
  • The use of perceptions, which are trusted as a complement to objective data.

By applying the principles of Design Thinking, leaders and teams are trained to practice active listening and empathetic observation, which allows them to create new connections.

Encourages #creativity and the generation of innovative ideas. The use of the methodology to solve the identified challenges stimulates creativity and innovation in the teams. It encourages active participation, gives creative freedom to experiment and learn from failures, and promotes a culture of continuous improvement.

Article in line with one of the points of Design Thinking is a highly collaborative approach that involves working as a team, leveraging the diversity of perspectives and skills, and encouraging the active participation of all team members.

It is important to note that the five phases, stages or modes are not always sequential. They do not have to follow any specific order and can often occur in parallel and repeat iteratively. Design thinking is not a hierarchical process but an innovative project that, instead of being approached following sequential steps, is managed on the basis of guidelines that mark its principles.



Design thinking has great transformative potential as it helps in the process of questioning. Precisely for that reason, it is extremely useful to address problems that are poorly defined or unknown.

The Design Thinking methodology ensures that advances are put at the service of people (customers and users) delivering value that translates into satisfaction and is key to business success.
