How to use the power of silence!!!

How to use the power of silence!!!

“A seed grows with no sound, but a tree falls with a huge noise. Destruction has noise, but creation is quiet. This is the power of silence. Grow Silently” -Confucius

Silence has the power to boost energy inside of you. The biggest ideas in this world always came to mind when people are sitting in silence. In today’s world, there are so many noises everywhere, we are getting information from everywhere and that information creates different kinds of thoughts in your mind and you feel restless.

Your work, family, social, and everything is important, but give some time to yourself and sit quiet and explore the things that your soul wants to connect with you and listen to those signals and messages that are coming from inside.

Meditation is also a great example of silence. Everyone knows the benefit of meditation, which increases your focus, increase your soul power, positivity, tolerance power, clarity, and peace of mind.

As per Hindu old tradition, there was a tradition of silent fasting. Earlier I didn’t know the reason behind it. But now I understand how smart our ancestors were, they knew the scientific benefit of silent fasting. It saves the energy flow and increases your soul power and connection to divine power.

As per the Buddha religion, Meditation helps you to increase your mind power. People are sitting in silence when they do meditation and connect to their souls. They become more mindful and more self-aware.

Mother Teresa beautifully described the definition of silence-

Silence of the eyes be seeing always the beauty and Goodness of God everywhere closing them to the faults of others and to all that is sinful and disturbing to the soul.

Silence of the ears by listening always to the voice of God and the cry of the poor and the needy, closing them to all other voices that come from evil one or from fallen human nature, e.g gossip, tale-bearing, uncharitable words.

Silence of the Tongue, by praising God and speaking the life-giving Word of God that is Truth that enlightens and inspires, brings peace, hope, and joy, and refraining from self-defense and every word that causes darkness, turmoil, pain, and death.

Silence of the mind by opening to the Truth and the knowledge of God in Prayer and Contemplation, like Mary who pondered the marvels of the Lord in her heart, and closing it all untruths, and distractions. Destructive thoughts like rash judgment, false suspicion of others, revengeful thoughts, and desires.

Silence of the Heart, by loving God with our whole heart, soul mind, and strength and one another as God loves, desiring God alone, and avoiding all selfishness, hatred, envy, jealousy, and greed.

In the above lines, how beautifully the meaning of silence is described by Mother Teresa. We should know how to use our eyes, ears, mind, tongue, and heart and when to remain silent for entering evil things into our senses.

When you do prayers, you connect with God, while sitting in silence. You can be more focused on yourself, and ask questions about who you are? What is your purpose in this world? You will be always answered and explore yourself more if you declutter all the noisy thoughts from your mind.

Any disputes can be solved if you are silent when others are in the heat of the temper. It’s not important to win always and prove your point, sometimes you need to be silent because you love the person and care about your relationship more than your ego.

Exception of this, being silent doesn’t mean that you should have to be silent always, You need to speak when you need it. It sometimes hurt when people are silent and do not say anything when they need to speak.

The bottom line is that sitting in silence is giving pause on the thoughts and things that are disturbing your peace of mind. The power of silence should be used for self-growth and for the peace of everyone.
