How We Can Be Better Humans?
How do you be a better human by driving success for yourself and others? I had the privilege to record this podcast (https://lnkd.in/gHyR2vzF) with John Saunders, CIMA® from New Degree Press together with two other fellow authors: Jennie Byrne, MD, PhD and Miriam Zylberglait “Dr. Z” 🦋.
Please take a moment to listen to the discussion and reflect on the powerful messages.
Dr. Byrne discusses the future of work. "When most people talk about the future of work, they think about technology. I think that the future of work is about being a better human."
Dr. Zylberglait discusses how you need to make sure that you discover who you are. "You can really edit your life, write your future. You can do it in a way that you will feel that joy and the meaning."
Along similar line, I share the importance of taking intentional steps to develop self-awareness. Self-awareness does not just happen. "You have to put the discipline and put the time and effort to develop that kind of self awareness. Once you have a self awareness, you will have the chance to align your value with the organization objective and be a more confident and effective leader."
If the messages resonate with you, please also check out our books. I have no doubt that they will help you become a better human, and a better leader, on your personal journey of growth and pursuits.

1yXinjin Zhao your book is next up on my 2023 reading list. Started last night. Love the story about the boy who built the windmill. No one told him to do it. He didn't ask for permission. He focused on helping others live a better life - as leaders should!

1yHi Xinjin- I read your postings most of the times and also te ire many other postings in Linkedin platform. The timings of the webinars, while interesting, but the timings and the issues I am tied up with do not always fit me well. I wish you well and hope someday we get an opportunity to meet when I come to Houston. Your commitment to writing and sharing your thoughts in encouraging others is very much appreciated. Wish you very best and keep writing and sharing thoughts!

1yThank you for the podcast! I really enjoyed all your writers' views about different themes (which were nicely still overlapping and connecting to each other) about transformation, future of work, personal growth, vulnerability and leadership. Xinjin - I could not agree with you more about the leaders' need to start with self acceptance first and then raising the level of self awareness after that, and about the need to become clear about reasons to lead. Raising the level of self awareness truly is an intentional process, it just does not happen automatically without lots of reflections and eagerness and readiness to learn. Thank you and as I always say - cannot wait to get deeper in the details with your book to be able to give you more detailed feedback. I am reading the e-book version, but cannot wait to get my paperback to arrive 🙂 🙏 !!
