How we can push our way to the future and truly innovate?

We are overwhelmed by the communication impact of every piece of information that comes our way, regardless of the source or the tenor. Everything is a product… and we are buying!

It doesn’t matter if it’s an animation motion picture or a commercial ad on the TV, if it’s the news or an article about Apple’s position on European Tax Decision; it’s all a storytelling created to sell us their convincing version of how is the world and how little we can do to change it.

You know what…

...and there are ample examples to prove it. Regrettably only “bad” examples are common, where deconstruction and destruction is the outcome. But if it’s true for the bad, so it can happen for the “good”.

Where do I want to challenge this rule? My idea is that there are fresher and more spontaneous voices and stories out there than in most well-paid, fat-brands of our world. If we could give open access to users so they can explore and discover their voice and TELL IT HOW THEY SEE IT, we just may be surprised. And no, YouTube it’s not it. Why? Because they are busy using our stories to generate money for their stockholders, they don’t care about our ideas or us, they care about revenue.

Well-oiled brands that use stories and images are dry of new “voices” and have no clue as to how they can seduce and promote evolution in the digital-content market. Guess what? Give a real piece of the pie to those who generate value for you. NO? That’s way change and evolution usually does not come by way of status quo, they are busy defending their privileges. And yes, Apple, Google and Facebook are status quo. So everything can shift forward if we stop looking at what they are doing and look at what they are missing. Content creators!

I firmly believe there is a genius inside all of us, we just need to dust off the stories we’re told and have bought and find our own story.
