OK, kitchen army. We have to do a secret mission together. Ssshhhh, keep quiet. Don’t move with noise. Now move your hand. Aah, exactly like that. Slowly slowly.

(Learn content writing for free via my Amazon Kindle Unlimited ebooks)

“Are we gonna make doughnuts, Mahar? Or cupcakes or our favourite item, PIZZA?”

Well, buddy, the case is we’re not gonna cook any eatable thing.

“What, then?”

We’re gonna cook a review for one of our favourite dishes, CAKE.

I still remember my friend who worked for Hogarth . She used to write fantastic reviews for foods and beverages. What a food writer she was!

“Oh, so we’re gonna get some tips from you on how to write a cake review.”

EXACTLY, writer buddy.

These tips to write a memorable and convertible cake review are:

(You could also learn how to write a review via my FREE review writing guide made for copywriters.)

Do some research:

Yup, your research strength can make or break your review article. So, better do this step carefully.

For example, if you have to prepare banana cake, you should search info about this item. Like who for the first time made this sort of cake. And, what country is responsible for the creation of this cake. In which year was this cake prepared for the very first time! The same goes for chocolate cakes, strawberry cakes, and biscuit cakes, etc.

Do add all interesting info for your cake review audience. In this way, they’d consider your review thorough, valuable, and credible. You could also add some entertaining info related to this item like some event celebrated each year.

Yes, you should collect all useful facts and figures of your cake to strengthen your piece for your audience and search engines.

Well honestly, you should review only that cake which you ate yourself. BUT you could share the general opinion of customers for that product as well.

Begin your review with a hooking intro:

Write your review’s intro super compelling for your reader. For example:

“Your party would be FAB with this beautiful heart-shaped super yummy chocolate cake. That's arranged in THREE ROWS.

YOU got a promotion letter. And WE got your event covered. Through our special ABC CHOCOLATE BEAN CAKE.”

In an attractive intro, you could add a lot of intriguing Qs like the ones below.

Q. 1 When was the cake cooked first?

Q. 2 To what nationality is the cake native?

Q. 3 Why is this dish worth a try?

Q. 4 Are there any captivating history details about the cake?

Q. 5 Why do you like this cake?

To write a standard cake review, you should put yourself in your reader’s shoes. Such questions would make you produce a reliable copy for your reader.

Plus, it’s good to add an engaging thesis statement in your intro to keep the ball rolling.

Use colourful adjectives:

What are you expected as a writer? A writer is expected to write readable and engaging content. Therefore, you should focus on your content structure and its vocabulary. Focus on the adjectives, which describe your cake. You have to ensure you use some essential words within your article. For example, do use adjectives in your review like delicious, splendid, tasty, and amazing. In other words, you should use such adjectives that provide your reader with those feelings that they get when they eat your cake.

You should examine whether you’re using the right adjectives in your review or not. Don’t overdo this process to avoid long sentences. Perhaps, you have to add only 2-3 adjectives for one sentence. Logically craft all the sentences. And make smooth transitions while writing sentences. Probably, you need to add the table of ingredients and cooking process for your cake if it’s a new kind in the cakes’ market.

Add advantages and disadvantages:

Then, you should add some pros and cons for your cake in your review. Coz the pros and cons of your cake make your review greatly credible and highly informative for your audience. And, you could add such sections in the form of tables or paras. For example, you could tell your reader that your specific cake isn’t harmful for their health. No objectionable item is added to make your dish feel tasty or elegant.

Add a readable conclusion:

You should restate your thesis statement in the end. And you should underline the value of your food review in a nutshell. Then, add a call to action (CTA) for your reader. Also, ask your online reader about their ideas for your review. You could also provide them with some detail regarding your future post. For instance, my future post will be about XYZ cake review.
