How to write content that attracts high-level clients

A lot of coaches fall into the trap of trying to convince their audience that they need coaching or that they should want the outcome of their offer

When you get into "convincing" mode you're actually pushing away your best clients because they won't be able to see that you're the person who can help them. This type of content is too basic for them in terms of their sophistication level.

Your Best-Fit Clients are the ones who already know they have a problem, they've usually tried various solutions that haven't worked and they are ready to hand over large sums of money to get this problem solved once and for all. (or achieve a desire they desperately want)

If you want clients who are happy to pay your four-figure fee (in full), sales to be easier and your clients to be a dream to work with then you want to be mindful about who you're speaking to with each post you write and make sure you're ONLY talking to the exact type of person you want to attract.

For example:

❌Relationship coaches tend to convince people that they need to work on communication with their partner so the relationship doesn't break down.

✅ Your Best-Fit Client is likely someone whose relationship has already broken down and they are willing to do anything to repair it. You'll want to talk about your unique approach to communication and demonstrate how this can improve the relationship.

***

❌Stress management coaches who try to convince people they need to slow down and develop healthy coping mechanisms for managing their stress.

✅ Your Best-Fit Client is likely someone who knows they are close to burning out and are looking for ways to better manage their stress levels. You'll want to write posts that unpack the process you guide your clients through so they can reduce their stress.

***

❌Financial coaches who try to convince people that they should create a budget and stick to it so they can save for a down payment on a house.

✅ Your Best-Fit Client is likely someone who is already budgeting and saving but is looking for ways to further optimise their finances so they can get their dream house sooner. You'll want to use relevant case studies of how you've helped clients buy their homes in a shorter timeframe.

***

❌Empowerment coaches who try to convince people they need to boost their confidence and self-esteem.

✅ You want to speak directly to someone who is already looking for ways to boost their confidence and self-esteem so they can achieve the desire they have (some examples of outcomes: leave a bad relationship, create a better relationship with themselves, quit a job that makes them miserable, get a promotion...) You'll want your content to demonstrate the process you'll guide them through and how you'll help them achieve the end goal they desire.

❌Business coaches who try to convince people they need to start a group program to scale.

✅ Your Best-Fit Client will already be investigating options and looking into how to create the best possible group program to support more clients.

When your content speaks directly to the very person you most want to work with they will be able to recognise themselves in your content and see that you might be the person to help them.

They will start binging your posts to find out more

And when you get your content right, they will reach out asking to work with you.

This is just one example of how to tweak your content to attract the clients you want to work with

Tomorrow I'll be doing an audio event on LinkedIn where I'll talk about a few other ways you can tweak your content so it attracts high-level clients

And if you'd like my help with Mastering Your Messaging so you can attract high end clients who are happy to pay premium fees, that's exactly what I'm helping folks do in my brand new program starting on Monday.

If you're interested, send me a message and I'll share the details
