How are you going to finish the year strong?
October marks the last 90 days of the year. Now my question to you is "How are you going to finish the year strong?”
2020 was a year none of us expected... but it’s not over yet. We can decide to wait for New Year’s Day to make new resolutions, or we can revisit our 2020 goals, make them happen and keep the momentum in the new year. By pledging to participate in this journey, you’re reclaiming the way you say goodbye to 2020. It is a matter of mindset. Let’s choose to finish this radically different year better than we entered it with all the challenges we already had.
Despite all the obstacles I have encountered in 2020, my immediate feeling is filling with gratitude when reflecting on my 2020 goals. I am so proud of my team for exceeding our goals and the year over year growth; they have shown spectacular solidarity, resilience, and synergy. Our internal initiative #leadthechange has been a common thread to rely on and contributed to our effectiveness throughout the year.
I can not claim that I have achieved 100% the goals set, but it is not too late to adjust, tweak, or start over. This is when I thought, what can I/we do to finish the year even stronger? We can still achieve a lot in the last three months of this year and continue the success journey. I started writing down my thoughts in three categories filled up with many positive words on post-it-notes around them:
Does it relate? Always aim to have an actionable vision board for the next 90 days, a clear short-term vision with short-term goals and short-term outcomes. Some previous challenges are turned into opportunities, some inspirations to go the extra mile and exceed expectations arise and the priorities are shuffled.
Moreover, this will always help you envision a bigger picture for the upcoming year, the mission to achieve, the jobs to be done, broken down into big clear goals, and the areas to focus on. And let me tell you, if you do so, in January, while others are just starting their resolutions, you will already be basking in results, starting the new year stress-free with a tremendous amount of positive momentum.
Let's make these last 90 days count.
