Promoting Migrant and Refugee Integration

  • This e-learning course focuses on issues related to labor market access, family reunification, access to education and education support programs for migrant children, access to residence permits and nationality, civil and political rights, and anti-discrimination policies, and addresses complex matters such as the integration of irregular migrants and especially vulnerable groups.

Recommendations for the next five years of EU Migration Policies

  • Ahead of elections for the EU public to elect a new European Parliament, the International Centre for Migration Policy Development will hold a consultation with government, government, think-tanks, academics and other relevant stakeholders to formulate and disseminate evidence-based policy recommendations for the next five years of EU migration governance, and ultimately to inform the policymaking of EU leadership.

UNHCR and partners urge renewed support for South Sudanese refugees with new funding appeals

  • UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, together with 123 partners, is seeking $1.4 billion this year to meet the needs of 2.3 million South Sudanese refugees living in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Ethiopia, Kenya, Sudan and Uganda. A similar number of people living in local communities in the five asylum countries will benefit from services and support provided through a Regional Refugee Response Plan.

Currently Rai is serving as a Volunteer with World University Service Canada (WUSC) where she is the Policy & Advocacy Advisor for CRAWN Trust in Kenya.

At Women's Economic Forum Kenya (WEFK) 2024 Rai moderated a panel event about Women-led Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Kenya at the Women's Economic Forum Kenya 2024

She also presented her Policy Brief on the Digital Gender Divide in Kenya, describing the barriers women face in interacting with the digital economy.
