Human Rights Violations; Report of Four Iranian Activists to German Authorities

On December 10, Maryam Zare (actress and film director), Parasto Forouhar (painter and human rights activist), Navid Kermani (writer and researcher) and Bahman Niroumand (journalist and writer) met separately with the President and Representative of the German Chancellor to discuss They discussed the human rights situation in Iran.

In a joint statement a few days ago, they provided the media with general information on the subject of their talks with German officials; That the human rights situation in the Islamic Republic of Iran is very dire, that there is no individual freedom, that any attempt at freedom of opinion, freedom of religion or the defense of minority rights is suppressed as severely as possible, and any action against the death penalty or hijab Mandatory are heavy penalties.

They also cited corruption, growing economic weakness, the consequences of crippling sanctions and fears of a military confrontation with the United States, and the severe coronary pressure on Iranian citizens.

The four held a press conference at the Federal Press Conference Building in Berlin after meeting with Frank-Walter Steinmeier and the Chancellor's envoy, and then met with a representative of the German Foreign Ministry.
