The humanity of the future

Much has been said about the future of work.

I believe that the future is digital, but mainly that the future is human.

Technology will undoubtedly automate all repetitive work that does not require our cognitive and socio-emotional skills, those that make us unique and distinctive people, and differentiate us from robots.

The more we develop and use these skills, related to our ability to feel, think, connect and transform reality, the more competitive we will become.

If the future is human, starting with you is always the best choice.

Do you have a purpose? Or do you still think you came into the world for a walk?

What inspires your choices?

Do you follow a code of ethics and conduct?

What values do you not trade?

Do you use your presence and your senses to perceive and understand the reality around you?

Are courage, creativity, innovation, flexibility, curiosity and agility part of you?

Now take the focus off your private infinite and answer with sincerity: do you like people and trust people?

Do you know how to watch and listen?

Do you do active listening, non-violent and inclusive communication?

Do you promote diversity in your life?

Do you empathize with those who are different from you?

Or do you live in your elitist and privileged bubble, just living with similar and excluding people like you?

Do you notice and fight sexism, racism, homophobia and all kinds of prejudice that exists in you?

Can you move, re-signify, revolutionize, change, unlearn what no longer serves you and learn new things continuously?

These are the skills of the future and they are all within you.

For me, a professional with a future is someone who can integrate the mature characteristics of female power (empathy, kindness, inclusion, creativity, confidence, vulnerability, harmony) with the mature characteristics of male power (clarity, assertiveness, focus, direction, order, discipline, structure, strength and convergence) that exists in each one of us.

You are what you make of the humanity that exists in you. Think about it.
