Humans of DH: Roxie Donald

Humans of DH: Roxie Donald

DH is made up of more than 700 unique and inspiring people dedicated to healthcare marketing, all with different backgrounds and different stories. While our teams vary by location and capability, we are united by a shared purpose: to improve health outcomes and make things better, together. “Humans of DH” is a love letter to the people of DH, featuring employees across our agency and sharing their stories.

In this edition of Humans of DH, we’re featuring Roxie Donald - Senior Producer, Project Management. It has been four years of Roxie's hard work and enthusiasm, and we are so grateful!

How did you land at Digitas Health?

A Leo Burnett recruiter found me on LinkedIn and the rest is history!

From your point of view, what makes a good Project Management professional?

A great Project Manager (at any level) is flexible, eager to learn, creative with providing solutions, and always working collaboratively to provide the best possible outcome for the team, clients, and brand.

What do you enjoy most about working at Digitas Health?

I love the people, the clients, and the fact that what we produce can impact a patient’s life in a significant and positive way.

How has DH supported you personally or professionally in the past three years?

Transitioning back to work after maternity leave and finding care was extremely daunting, but the Bright Horizons Care Program made this transition so easy, and we found an amazing and reliable nanny through this service.

What was your connection to the health care industry prior to joining DH?

I have a few healthcare providers in my family, and some were healthcare executives in the c-suite. My first job was an internship at the University of Illinois Medical School Media Department. That experience fueled my passion for healthcare and gave me an appreciation for how healthcare advertisements are not just ads, but ways to connect patients to therapies and support their treatment journeys.

What drew you to the pharma industry?

I have my BSc in Biology and intended to get my Masters in Histology, but my lab professor connected me to someone in pharmaceutical sales which later brought me into the exciting world of pharmaceutical marketing/advertising. I absolutely love it!

What TV shows are you currently watching?

Outlast!

Favorite ice cream flavor?

Extremely dark chocolate!
