I am a very, very thankful person this year.

I am a very, very thankful person this year.

I'm thankful for twists and turns. The things that teach you resilience. I think this is a year that taught so many people resilience and what they're made of.

I'm thankful for humor.

I'm thankful for contrarians and for characters.

I'm thankful for practical and reasonable people.

I'm thankful for common sense.

I'm thankful for family and for the people that love you…even though you're ridiculous and a pain in the ass and not where you should be when you're supposed to be there. I am thankful for the people who love you no matter what.

I'm thankful for dogs.

I'm thankful for running.

I'm very thankful for the outside edge of a hockey skate, which gives me so much fucking trouble.

I'm so thankful for Barstool Sports and everybody inside of it. I’m grateful for the Stoolies and our fans and the people that keep us going.

I'm thankful for the time I spent this entire season driving down the West Side Highway to come to work. There was not a single car on that highway which was bizarre. It’s kind of ebbed and flowed over the course of the last nine months. But the one thing that was always there and kept me company were the tugboats and the barges. I'm thankful for them.

I'm thankful for small and mighty business owners. I’m thankful for people who fight the fight like the Borrelli’s.

I'm thankful for fighters like Diana Keene, who has been fighting metastatic breast cancer and finds it within herself to create something bigger than herself, despite the obstacles and the odds against her.

I'm thankful for Braeley. She got hit by a car and is already at it again to get back on that lacrosse field.

I'm thankful for teachers and for nurses and all the people who kept going this year, who didn't hide and who didn't quit and who had to keep showing up.

I'm thankful for new friends.

I'm thankful for all the dickheads on Twitter.

I'm thankful that I am in my forties. I made it to my mid-forties before I started saying the phrase“out of an abundance of caution” and I am hopeful that I will never, never have to say it again.

I'm thankful for sports. I'm thankful for rivalries. I'm thankful for feuds.

I'm thankful for new worlds like the WWE.

I'm thankful for people like Dave who are larger than life.

I'm thankful for small moments.

I'm thankful for my hockey cops and for Kelly Babstock and for coffee.

I'm thankful that when I drink red wine, if I don't finish the glass, I still feel like I need to put Saran Wrap over it just to save it for the next night. I'm thankful for little idiosyncrasies like that.

And lastly, I'm thankful for my podcast and for everybody who makes it possible and the people who actually listen to it.
