"I have a dream" VS. "I have a plan."
"I have a dream" VS. "I have a plan."
How Great Leaders Inspire:
Hello,
I just wanted to share this great video! Simon Sinek gives a great Ted talk about communication required by leadership to inspire.
There are several amazing stories told in this video. One of the most powerful relates to the recipe for success, and the Wright Brothers. You want to hire people who believe what you believe. "People don't buy what you do, they buy why you do it."
What happened to the Wright Brothers Competition after they took flight? What did they believe in? What do you believe in? Do you do it for the dream, or for the paycheck?
Martin Luther King Jr., Gave the, "I have a dream speech, not the I have a plan speech." Having a plan doesn't create or inspire the same vision for others without some communication.
Try Telling people WHY you do it, then HOW, then WHAT. I hope you enjoyed!
Make it great!,

5yI love this video, Scott! I watch it periodically There is so much truth in this. Not only do others need to see why we do something, we need to know why we do it too. Knowing why drives everything else.
