As I Look Towards the Future

As I Look Towards the Future

Today it was announced that I will retire from FedEx as of December 31, 2022. It is difficult to leave a place that has meant so much to me for nearly four decades, and I want to take a moment to thank the more than 600,000 team members who I will always consider my FedEx family.

As I look back on my career, I will cherish many memories including living and working internationally in Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Toronto while working closely with FedEx customers who depend on our services to support their livelihood. I have also had the privilege of working on the frontlines of our operations alongside some of the most incredible people, many of which have blessed me with life lessons and friendships for which I can never repay.

I know FedEx Express will be in incredibly capable hands with my successor, Richard W. Smith, and I look forward to continuing to work with him over the coming months. I will end this post with the wise words of Confucius:

“Choose a job you love and you will never have to work a day in your life.”

After almost 40 years, I have still loved going to work each and every day. For that, I am forever grateful.

Sincerely,

Don

I am very glad to find you on the official website of FedEx and then meet you on in. I am sorry to bother you. I am a customer of FedEx. Tracking number: 276341610028 A very important package was mailed on June 25, using overnight service, and the expected arrival time was before 8 p.m. on June 26, but I haven't received the package yet. During this period, I have called the customer service for more than 10 times, and they all gave different feedback. In the last customer service feedback yesterday, I said that I had informed the federal department to help me find this package, but there has been no result, I am very worried and anxious. The package contains many test mobile phones and tablet sim cards of our company, if I lose them, I need to pay a lot of compensation to the company and the company will fire me. Therefore, this package is very important not to lose it, and it doesn't matter if it is damaged. Please find it and send it back to me. I hope you can help me, thank you very much 🙏🏻, I am in a hurry and hope you can understand

On Feb 4th, I sent a box containing perishable items (shrimp) to India, through #FedEx FedEx FedEx Logistics . This package took 12 days to get to it's final destination and when it got there, the products were already bad as #FedEx delayed this shipment A LOT. Not sure why #FedEx would send my package west to Tennessee (I'm in NJ), as opposed to sending it EAST, straight to Charles de Gaulle and from there, to Dubai, like other shipments I sent in the past. We paid USD447.48 for our items to get to their final destination rotten. I called #fedex multiple times as the box sat in TN,but no resolution was offered and they kept saying all was OK.I opened a claim w/them and the same came back as DENIED.No reason given, they simply denied it, although I had pictures, time line &everything to prove.Last Friday I had to ship2boxes again. Both going to the same destination.Guess where they are right now???Yes, my boxes, containing frozen shrimp and dry ice are sitting in TN again&FedEx tracking website says they are being delivered tonight. Not sure how they will deliver them in India TONIGHT,when they are still in TN, US???#fedex I haven't seen worse service than this in a while.Let's see if I will have a problem with my products again

Don, congratulations on your well deserved retirement. I can say from experience the work will fade away and you have many activities that will take up your time. Retirement is a wonderful thing and it will add many years to your life. However I have to say after 10 years I still miss the great people I had the pleasure of working with during my career at FedEx. I truly wish all the best life has to offer in the next fade of your life. Be well Rocket Ron
