I went viral! ...Plus 5 Ways to Create a Business Idea from Scratch
I went viral for the first time
A Linkedin post about my wife and me went crazy this week.
Over 700,000 views and 3,500 likes. In 24hrs!
My inbox was flooded with frustrated people looking for answers.
Wanting to know more about career change.
Wanting to know how we did it...
Since January 2021, I’ve posted 5 days per week on this platform. Amounting to almost 1 million views.
That one post has almost beaten those numbers in just a few days!
2 and a half years of work overshadowed by one post. Crazy how things work...
What made this story get so much attention?
It’s a nice picture. But I’ve posted similar before.
Perhaps it’s because we did something daring. We took on the challenge together...
That's what inspired people!
I know deep down, many what the same.
They crave freedom and independence in their careers.
The Zeitgeist
More people than ever feel lost. Stuck in jobs that don’t fulfill them.
Struggling to find freedom. Drowning in emails. Working weekends.
The list goes on…
As a Career & Life Coach, I’ve seen this trend developing.
I meet people who say ‘Enough is enough. I don’t to suffer this pain any longer’.
The messages were from people looking for new beginnings. Looking for ideas on how to make a new start.
Creating a new chapter
It’s never too late to make a change. That’s the good news.
Since 2021, I’ve sold over 1,000 1:1 coaching sessions to busy professionals who need support.
Including women in their 50s yearning to create a side hustle.
Men deciding to set up on their own after spending 25 years in the same sector.

All were in fear. Concerned about what people think.
But, they decided to transform themselves into WHO they wanted to be.
Their stories are inspiring. Not just mine.
Your life goals
This sounds great.
But what about you? How can make the changes you want in life?
How do you start to create a business idea from scratch?
Here are 5 things you can do to start a business idea:
Take a pen out and write down everything you’re passionate about. All the things you love doing. Don’t start a business you’re not passionate about. You won’t make it through the difficult days.
2. Think about what the world needs
When I changed careers, I focused on common problems in the workplace. I knew career burnout was increasing. I knew people were losing purpose and craving change in their lives. What problems can you see that need fixing?
3. Do your research
Is there anyone else making a living from your answers to questions 1 & 2? Perform analysis on competitors. DON’T get put off, there’s always room for more!
4. Consider your Ideal Client
Who would be your dream customer? What do they think? What problems do they struggle with? A great activity to start visualising you serving the needs of others.
5. Create a business plan
I wrote a business plan for myself before I launched. No one read it. But it helped me to make sense of what I wanted to do. It forced me to look at the numbers and make sure I had a good idea.
Throughout 2023/24, I expect many more to change careers.
Being stuck is a horrible feeling.
Taking action to resolve your career crisis is liberating.
And if you need guidance on a path through the jungle, I’m your man.
My 1:1 coaching programmes are designed to enable you to make sense of your career problems, find clarity on your future, AND boost your self-confidence & belief.
