I wrote a book with 22 co-authors, this is how it went
It was early 2018. Bryan Cassady approached me and pitched this crazy idea of bringing together a diverse group of 22 authors, and collaboratively writing a book. The book would be called Cycles, and these 22 co-authors would be from different countries, different companies and different traits. Bryan aimed to combine the experiences and learnings from all of them into a unique book, and such an enriching combination of perspectives should make this book a key material for every aspiring tech entrepreneur anywhere in the world.
I was fascinated to collaborate with these group of incredibly inspiring individuals:
Prof. Agnis Stibe, Arjan Groen, Charles Umeh, Dennis van der Spoel 📈, Dr Tony de Bree - From Corporate Job Entrepreneur , Filip Hendrickx, Franck Vinchon, Lana Kristine Jelenjev, Lucas Sauberschwarz, Lysander Weiss, Martin Gaedt, Nicolas Deturck, Reinhard Ematinger, PhD, Shayne Smart ⬢, Simon Vanhoucke, Stoyan Yankov, Urs Rothmayr, Wade Milek, MBA, Yuri Willems, Bryan Cassady
“Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success.”– Henry Ford
The writing process
Bryan created a very smart skeleton for the book, with sections that follow the stages an entrepreneur goes through, from having an idea, to building it, to launching it in the market, and to then learning, iterating and improving toward better product-market-fit.
Each chapter was broken into sub-chapters. And each sub-chapter was co-written by two co-authors. In the end it was reviewed to make the chapters fit together in a way that's pleasant for the reader.

My biggest passion and experience is to transform entrepreneurial ideas into products that can bring value to millions of people. As such, the chapter I co-wrote is in the "Build" section, and it's all about building an MVP, testing it in the market, and iterating fiercely with customer feedback. It's called "The power of persistence", and I loved writing it with Stoyan Yankov. We didn't know each other before the book, but the process made us quite close. It was a very exciting collaborative experience.
The Cycles book is finally published
The core content of the book was written through 2018 and mostly completed by 2019. However, a global pandemic got in the way, and publishing got significantly delayed. Finally, it's late 2021 and the book has finally been published. It is already available for online order at www.thecyclesbook.com, and also physically in book shelves all across the world. 2yIt was a pleasure collaborating Sergio Pereira! And a great learning experience to co-create the whole book. But luckily Bryan Cassady never quit and kept going. Pretty much like the name of the chapter: "The power or persistence". Well done!
