#IAmRising

First, a shout out to all the women who were a part of The Rising 2022 . Our first in-person event after two years began with the keynote address from dunnhumby’s India head Manoj Madhusudanan. He spoke about the urgency of changing the dynamic and reshaping the narrative in both the workplace and the society to address the historical misstep that’s patriarchy.

The last session of the conference– Changing the Narrative For Women In Tech– embodied the spirit of The Rising. The moderator of the session, journalist Barkha Dutt, pointed to the puzzling exodus of women from the workforce after the pandemic hit. She also made a case for owning your gender in the workspace.

The panel comprising Manoj Madhusudanan, head of dunnhumby India; Jaya Janardanan, COO at Indostar Capital Finance; Aashima Kumar, senior manager of data analytics at Publicis Sapient; and Shobha Bhagwat, data analyst manager at Gojek called for a safe, friendly, gender diverse, and respectful work environment.

The major themes at the day-long conference included diversity and inclusion, gender bias and diversity in AI, digital transformation, fraud detection and more. The Rising also offered great networking opportunities for women in tech and wrapped up with a standup act from Abijit Ganguly.
