The Idiot
I talk about Fyodor Dostoevsky’s famous book, “The Idiot.” I will explain what the book is about, its characters, and why it’s important even today.
“The Idiot” is a story about a man named Prince Lev Myshkin. People think he’s a bit simple and too nice. The book shows how I try to fit into a society that is unkind.
1. Being Yourself vs. What Others Want:
The book talks about how it feels to be yourself when others want you to be different. This is a struggle that many of us go through.
2. Understanding Emotions:
The characters in the book have strong feelings like love, jealousy, and sadness. It helps me see that everyone has feelings, even if they seem different from us.
3. Finding Meaning and Who You Are:
The main character, Myshkin, is on a journey to find out what life means to him. This is something many of us think about too.
Why “The Idiot” Matters Today:
Even though the book is old, it still teaches us important things. It shows me that it’s okay to be different. It also helps me understand that everyone struggles with feeling like they belong.
I suggest reading “The Idiot” because it teaches us about being true to ourselves. It’s a story that can help us see things from different points of view.
