It is an exciting time in the iGaming industry with a lot of strategic moves by many companies to enhance their operations, expanding into new markets. A period of high growth in the sector has thus given way to some very serious developments, encompassing key appointments, new products, and entries into the markets.

The landscape of iGaming is altering at an unbelievable pace under innovative technologies and fast-moving market regulations that keep opening further growth possibilities.


Company Appointments

Jean Claude Magri has been appointed as the Chief Financial Officer for Yolo B2B Products, with the new role intended to further strengthen the financial approach of the business and support the considerable growth and expansion of both the tech and iGaming sectors.

The appointment of Nadiya Attard as Chief Commercial Officer by Elantil is in line with the company's wish to harvest from her 20 years of experience in the iGaming sector, focusing on driving the company's commercial and marketing strategies as it seeks to gain a foothold in the market.

Kambi Group plc has just announced that Brian Dean will take on the new role of Chief People Officer, in order to lead the group through a global strategy in people and culture, improving workplace culture, talent development, and diversity initiatives.

Cherry Play has announced the appointment of Olga Bajela to the position of CEO as the company prepares to launch in iGaming through an exclusive partnership with Bragg Gaming, also announcing its plans for its first slot games under a new commercial model focusing on license fees rather than revenue sharing.

Jose Simon Kadala has been elevated to the post of Chief Commercial Officer by Yggdrasil. In consideration of his invaluable contribution during the last year, one which was impactful on every front, this promotion puts him at the helm of spearheading key commercial ventures and global market expansion drives in 2025.

GameOn recently welcomed Carrie Allen-Snell to its marketing department, joining their ranks as an Account Manager. Under her leadership, the company will focus on enhancing its product offerings and addressing operators' needs, with an exciting product roadmap set for 2025.

iGP announces Jovana Popovic Canaki as the new CEO; the goal is to further enrich the product offering, matching operators' needs with a promising roadmap for 2025 under her leadership.

SIS has appointed Harry Heynes as Head of New Business, using his ten years of experience in iGaming and sports betting to enhance global operations and increase growth in emerging markets, off the back of the launch of its esports betting product in the U.S.


Market Expansion

The well-established Habanero has gotten into the newly regulated iGaming market in Brazil with the acquisition of a license to operate there and targeting a diverse game portfolio at local players to establish itself as one of the bigger providers in that region.

Push Gaming has launched a diverse games portfolio in Brazil on the back of partnerships with main operators such as Bet365 and Entain—a major step regarding its growth strategies for 2025.

Gaming Corps has now officially launched its operations in the newly regulated iGaming market of Brazil, bringing more than 50 innovative games to the market, looking to capitalize on expected sector growth projected to reach up to $3.7 billion by 2029.


Product Launches and Innovations

Arena Racing Company has launched Racing1 Markets, a complete racing solution that brings users enhanced experiences with 24/7 access to horse and greyhound content through a new partnership with leading crypto operator Duelbits.

Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) has launched an upgraded online platform for The Football Pools, integrating X-Suite technology to modernize its digital presence in the £11 billion UK market. This move follows the expansion of GiG's social sweepstakes casino platform, SweepX, through three new partnerships with a social casino brand, a cryptocurrency affiliate, and a European iGaming business.

Through this partnership with Jelly Entertainment, Microgame helped Jelly enter the Italian market, and their most popular games will find a new home within Microgame to grow the most enhanced gaming experience in Europe.

BetBlocker has taken another stride toward the facilitation of responsible gambling in Africa with the inclusion of new language packs targeting users based in Zambia and thus showing its commitment to culturally sensitive support across under-resourced communities.


Strategic Partnerships

Booming Games has signed a strategic partnership with ChopBet with the aim of growing its presence in West Africa and offering customers of ChopBet a very large array of high-quality gaming content.

Betsson is proud to announce its partnership with GameplAI, with the aim of re-innovating its global betting offerings through localized content and thus further improving customer experiences with personalized betting strategies.

RubyPlay has entered the US online casino market after teaming up with Rush Street Interactive, launching exclusive games on the BetRivers platform, with plans for further expansion into states including Pennsylvania and Michigan.

Splash Tech has announced a team-up with Rootz to integrate free-to-play games onto the Wildz Sports platform, helping to drive more engagement through innovative experiences within the sports vertical.

The partnership with Betflag.it sees an extension of the reach of Spinomenal with regard to several slots' incorporation, leveraging the full gaming potential of Italy in this process of enriching Betflag's portfolio.

Black Cow Technology closed significant Series A funding from JJK Partners to further accelerate development of its Multiplayer Server technology and to establish itself further as a leading vendor in this rapidly moving iGaming market.
