IKO's NAG-NAU-TRU-NAS Needle Roller Bearings

IKO's NAG-NAU-TRU-NAS Needle Roller Bearings

NAG-NAU-TRU-NAS Needle Roller Bearings

IKO Roller Bearings are heavy-duty bearings with rollers incorporated in a double row. They are non-separable bearings with a high load rating. They can withstand not only radial loads but axial loads as well, which are supported at the contacts between the shoulders of the inner and outer rings and the end faces of the rollers.

IKO's NAG Bearings

These are a type of cylindrical roller bearing designed for heavy-duty applications. They are known for their high load capacity, compact size, and ability to withstand both radial and axial loads.

Key Features of NAG Bearings:

  • High Load Capacity: Thanks to their full complement of rollers, NAG bearings can handle significant radial and axial loads.
  • Compact Design: Their small cross-sectional height makes them ideal for applications where space is limited.
  • Versatility: NAG bearings can be used in a wide range of industries, including automotive, industrial machinery, and agricultural equipment.
  • Durability: Made from high-quality materials and precision manufacturing techniques, NAG bearings are designed to last.

Types of NAG Bearings:

  • Sealed: These bearings have seals on both sides to prevent contaminants from entering and grease from leaking.
  • Shielded: These bearings have shields on one or both sides to provide basic protection against contaminants.

Common Applications:

  • Sheaves and pulleys
  • Gearboxes
  • Hubs and spindles
  • Oscillating mechanisms

If you're considering using NAG bearings in your application, it's essential to consult with a bearing specialist to ensure you select the right size and type for your specific needs.

 IKO's NAU Needle Roller Bearings

IKO's NAU series is a type of needle roller bearing. These bearings are characterised by their small cross-section and high load capacity. They are commonly used in applications where space is limited and heavy loads are involved.

Key Features of NAU Bearings:

  • Compact design: The small cross-section allows for a more compact overall design of the machine or component.
  • High load capacity: Despite their small size, NAU bearings can handle significant radial
  • Low friction: The needle rollers reduce friction, leading to efficient operation and longer service life.
  • Various configurations: NAU bearings are available in different configurations, including sealed, open, and caged, to suit specific application requirements.
  • Compact design: The small size allows for more compact and lightweight designs.

NAU Common Applications:

  • Automotive components (e.g., transmissions, differentials)
  • Industrial machinery (e.g., gearboxes, conveyors)
  • Agricultural equipment
  • Construction and mining machinery

IKO NAS Bearings

IKO NAS bearings are a specialised type of roller bearing designed primarily for use in sheaves. These bearings are characterised by their double-row full complement construction, with a low cross-sectional height, which means they can withstand heavy radial loads and shock loads.

It’s easy to fix them axially to sheaves using the stop rings of the outer ring. The width of the inner ring is designed to be larger than that of the outer ring, so they require no spacer between sheaves. The structure is stable because the double-row of rollers can withstand the moment loads caused by rope transition.

The surfaces of these bearings are also treated to provide high corrosion resistance and they are available in both sealed and shield type.

Key Features and Benefits:

  • High Load Capacity: The double-row design provides exceptional load-carrying capacity, making them suitable for demanding applications.
  • Compact Size: Despite their high load capacity, NAS bearings are relatively compact, making them ideal for applications where space is limited.
  • Axial Load Resistance: They can effectively withstand axial loads, which are often present in sheave applications.
  • Shock Load Resistance: NAS bearings are designed to handle shock loads, making them suitable for applications with intermittent or fluctuating loads.
  • Low Friction: The roller design minimises friction, resulting in improved efficiency and reduced heat generation.
  • Easy Installation: The bearings are typically sealed or shielded, simplifying installation and maintenance.

Common Applications:

  • Agricultural Machinery: Combine harvesters, balers, and other equipment
  • Material Handling: Conveyor systems, cranes, and hoists
  • Industrial Machinery: Power transmission systems, pumps, and fans
