The Importance of Having a Routine
In a way or in another we are all entrepreneurs irrespective whether we manage a household, a start-up or a conglomerate! The basic principles are the same all over.
However, the current circumstances are making day to day business increasingly difficult if not impossible. Restrictions in movement, mindsets flipping into panic mode, palpable tension and stress are some contributing factors! All of this, is a stark resemblance of a gloomy past but with a big difference, this time the enemy is invisible to the naked eye. In spite of all of this, it seems that we might have actually been given an opportunity, time to carry out introspection and housekeeping.
During these days what I found really useful and what I can recommend is developing and adapting to a “routine”. Routines are associated with boredom, but not this time. This time a routine may well be a life saver! So, this is what works well for me:
1. Regular phone calls with customers depending on the situation. I think that if one shows concern, he or she will be paid back with trust.
2. Carry out research on aspects that can improve your business.
3. Keeping learning new stuff.
4. Get rid of the loose ends.
5. Document everything.
WELL…do not forget to make time for yourself and your family …exercise together if you can…. laugh and share jokes…some good old quality time!! Hopefully at the end of this tunnel we would be all eager and strong enough to get back into the scrum.
Thank you,
Robert
