Inspiring India!
Finally, India won the T20 world cup. India remained unbeaten throughout the tournament. Best part was, final was contested hard, both the teams put everything to win the match. It could have gone anyways and this time it went India’s match. Bad luck to South Africa once again.
As the fever settles down, let us look objectively those turning points in the match.
There were many defining moments of this match, but couple of them stood out and what we can really learn from this game.
Axar Patel playing a wonderful knock of 47 coming higher up in the order, not to forget Virat Kohli’s anchoring innings on the other end.
India finishing 176 for 7 is the highest total in a world cup final by any team.
Klaasen hitting 24 runs of Axar’s over and getting SA ahead of India in the match
Klaasen getting out playing a rash shot on the bowling of Hardik at 52 runs when SA needed just 26 from 24 balls. (With Rishabh Pant taking a break to bandage his leg, Klaasen could also have used this time to settle his nerves, looked at the scoreboard and evaluate the situation. They required run a ball which could be easily achieved.
Hardik, Bumrah and Arshdeep choking SA as they score only 8 runs in next 20 deliveries
Finally, Miller getting out at 21 on the first bowl by Hardik when they needed 16 runs from 6 balls, an extraordinary catch by Suryakumar Yadav on the boundary. If this had gone for six, then SA would need 10 out of 5, making their task easier, and shifting the momentum SA way.
To conclude, SA lost the match in last four overs.
Match was kind of roller coaster and India kept coming back in the game.
In the post-match press conference, what Rohit Sharma said was really an inspiration for those who are struggling and going through the tough times. Let’s point them out one by one.
This was a team effort and not one player or one performance can help you win world cup. This was one world cup where everyone in India shined and gave their best. Organizations succeed and achieve their goals when everyone comes together and give their best. Rohit (Leader) appreciating all his team members and coach Rahul Dravid.
Last four years, they have been working hard to reach here and win the cup. There was lot of hard work put in behind the scene and there were many failures in this journey. But they got up as a team and started working hard again. Every player individually and as well as, as a team put all their efforts to win the cup.

Job of a coach and a leader is to support them and not to dictate or suppress their natural way of working. Coach supressing his instincts and working with the wavelength of team members, listening to what they want. Ultimately, it’s the players who are going to perform.
