What department at The Baldwin Group did you work with?

I was an Insurance Advisory Services intern, rotating through all 3 departments of Commercial Risk Management, Private Risk Management, and Employee Benefits!

What school do you attend, and what is the name of your program?

I attend the University of South Florida , where I am a Business Management Major with a minor in Risk Management and Insurance at the University of South Florida Muma College of Business

Why did you choose The Baldwin Group?

I chose the Baldwin Group because throughout my whole experience everyone was so welcoming and inviting. Even during the interview process, the Azimuth was highlighted by how the colleagues interacted with one another as well as myself, and I personally aligned greatly with that as well. I always felt so comfortable and the program was exactly what I was looking for to dive in and learn more about the insurance industry.

What did you enjoy the most about your internship?

What I enjoyed the most about my internship is how it was rotational! Everyday I got to come in and learn something new while working alongside amazing interns and with amazing leaders from departments within the company.

What project did you work on that you found the most interesting?

A project that I worked on that I found extremely interesting would be the annual employee benefits sales contest. It really pushed me out of my comfort zone while allowing me to learn more about a new department, plus it was a lot of fun!

Any tips for future interns?

My tips for future interns would be to not be afraid to try something new or shy away from any opportunity! Internships are a learning opportunity and it’s okay to not understand everything right away, that’s the process of learning!

Any interesting facts about you?

An interesting fact about me is I’ve played the Clarinet since I was 11!
