International Journal of Lean Six Sigma (IJLSS) publishes a special issue on Lean Six Sigma for Higher Education
I am very pleased to inform my colleagues on LinkedIn that the IJLSS has just published a special issue on Lean Six Sigma for Higher Education. The articles in our Special issue include:
- Attributes valued by students in higher education services: a lean perspective
- How to use Lean Six Sigma methodology to improve service process in higher education: a case study
- Implementing Lean Six Sigma and discrete-event simulation for tutoring operations in higher education institutions
- A Lean Six Sigma approach for improving university campus office moves
- Lean Six Sigma in higher education institutes: an Irish case study
- Kaizen in university teaching: continuous course improvement
- Applying Lean Six Sigma to grading process improvement
- Evaluating university leadership performance using Lean Six Sigma framework
I would like to thank my colleagues Dr Chad Laux of Purdue University and Dr Beth Cudney of Missouri University of Science and Technology in working on this SI with me. This is the third Special issue on Lean Six Sigma in Higher Education. Two other Special Issues have been appeared in the International Journal of Productivity and Performance Management and International Journal of Quality and Reliability Management. These special issues clearly demonstrate the growing interest on Operational Excellence topics in Higher Education and I would anticipate a further growth on this topic in the future without any reasonable doubt.
