Interview is not a challenge but opportunity
Fluctuated market dynamics still force many global companies to sustain the hiring pause, cost cutting actions, changes in business strategies, as well as withdrawal in target markets. And many people have to return to the job seeking stage after years.
This is unfortunate for the employees who face the lay off as a result. Moreover many people are caught by this without preparing themselves for the interviews in which they need to present their personal brand and experience. Nobody is alone in these feelings. Only we need to keep in mind that:
If we know how to utilise them, we can see interviews as just a mature conversation between professionals for information exchange. They are the chances for being informed about trends in markets, knowing the companies’ cultures, understanding the expected competencies and developing our own, exploring our blind zones that we think we were well-qualified in, improving storytelling skills and networking.
