This edition features Yemi Jackson, the CEO of Engage and Transform Consultancy Limited, a talent acquisition and development company. Yemi Jackson shares her journey into entrepreneurship, starting in 2017 after leaving a corporate job.

She was inspired by a workshop she attended, she decided to pursue recruitment as her area of expertise, leveraging her background in finance. She emphasizes the importance of equipping individuals with the necessary skills to succeed in their roles so her role extend beyond helping individual find a leadership role.

Yemi talks about being mentored by experienced individuals in the past who helped her set up her recruitment business. Yemi openly shared how she initially struggled with regular income but eventually went full-time in 2019, focusing on talent recruitment for women in senior positions.

The talent aquisition company aims to engage individuals to unlock their potential so they attract top leadership roles. Yemi discussed the importance of engaging diverse talent in organizations without trying to shape them into a mold but to allow them to flourish and thrive.

The speaker highlights the positive impact of empowering women in leadership roles and addresses common barriers women face in self-promotion and decision-making. Yemi shared the importance of continuous business development, networking, and maintaining integrity in running a business, along with the need for planning time investment in both work and the business."
